Welcome to my personal engineering portfolio! On this site you will find my professional statement, engineering process, and engineering artifacts that I have been involved in. By looking through this portfolio you will see the passion I have for my projects and mechanical engineering as a whole.

 

I am currently a senior at Kansas State University and plan on graduating in spring 2016 with my Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have always been passionate about the many subjects that a career in the mechanical engineering field offered including: math, mechanical, dynamic, and computer programming classes. Another big reason I have chosen this field is because of the tremendous employment growth and the mean annual wage being $87,140 [1]. Showing that mechanical engineers will always be needed especially with the rapid growth of technology.

 

My degree curriculum has furthered my knowledge in multiple different areas. Being a senior I have already accomplished the core engineering classes, like calculus and physics. I have also toned my skills in CAD (SolidWorks) and other basic designing and programming courses. These past couple years I have started to get into the core mechanical classes that came very easy to me like machine design, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics. I am currently taking Finite Elements Applications and Controls. I am also currently working with Honeywell for my senior design project.

 

This past summer my experience as a Mechanical Engineering student provided me with an internship with Hostess LLC. At this internship I had multiple jobs including; designing multiple parts to help speed up production, implementing multiple changes to two large Autobake ovens through RSLogix5000, and analyzing the flow of certain fluids through pipes to make sure the substance moves through them effectively.

 

Now that my education is starting to come to an end I am anxious to start my career as a well-respected engineer. I hope to become a leader in multiple projects and to rise up into better career options. I know my goals are high but my drive and ambition are higher. Anyone who hires me will get my all and they will never regret there decision.
